• Currently, no other commercially available resin product can selectively capture transition metal ions from solutions with a pH less than 2 or in the presence of homogeneous chelating agents such as EDTA. The chemistry of CL-C572 is based on a special chelating amine ligand that is partially quaternized with sulfuric acid upon receipt.
• When present in this bound sulfate form, the resin fully swells and hydrates, thus preparing it to capture metal ions from acidic media.
• Most metal recovery operations can be easily accomplished with standard iminodiacetic acid or aminophosphonic acid-based chelating resins.
