Macroporous acrylic acid-based carboxylic acid (-COOH) weak acid cation exchange resin is specifically designed for lithium extraction from salt lakes, brine, and battery waste liquids. It is characterized by selective adsorption of Li⁺ at high magnesium-to-lithium ratios , separating impurities such as magnesium and calcium. It is a mainstream type for lithium resource enrichment and high-purity preparation. The carboxylic acid group exhibits a significantly higher affinity for Li⁺ than Mg²⁺ , Ca²⁺ , Na⁺ , and K⁺ . At a magnesium-to-lithium ratio of 20–50:1, the Li⁺ adsorption capacity is ≥15–20 g/L, and the magnesium rejection rate is ≥90%. It is suitable for high magnesium-to-lithium ratio systems such as salt lake brines, underground brines, and battery leachates.

Typical lithium extraction applications include

Lithium extraction from salt lake brine: high magnesium-to-lithium ratio (10–50:1) enrichment of Li⁺ in brine , with a lithium recovery rate ≥95%;

Lithium extraction from underground brine/oilfield water: deep enrichment of low-concentration lithium (50–500 mg/L);

Lithium extraction from lithium battery waste leachate: separation of Li⁺ from Ni/Co/Mn/Fe/Al to prepare high-purity lithium salts(lithium carbonate/lithium hydroxide);

Purification: removal of calcium and magnesium impurities, increasing product purity to 99.9%+;

Acidic lithium-containing wastewater from mines: lithium resource recovery and wastewater discharge meeting standards.
